Mission
Institutional Research and Assessment's Testing Services supports the university through professional test administration and exam and data processing for students, faculty, administrators and the broader Philadelphia community. By adhering to national standards and achieving test center certification, Testing Services demonstrates commitment to providing an optimal testing experience and safeguarding confidential information in compliance with the National College Testing Association's (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines and Temple University policy.
Test Administration Services
Testing Services offers test administration for students, faculty and community members. Services include administration of admissions tests, certification and licensure exams, credit-by-examination, and many more. In addition, Testing Services supports the administration of placement assessments for the university.
Classroom Exam Scoring
Testing Services offers classroom exam scoring to Temple University faculty. Faculty submit a Classroom Examination Processing Request form, test data and answer keys on approved optical scanning (“bubble”) forms. Testing Services processes the requests and produces a detailed item analysis report along with summary and raw data files.
Data Processing Services
Testing Services also offers data processing for Temple and non-Temple programs. Similar to classroom exam scoring, users submit requests on approved optical scanning (“bubble”) forms. Testing Services processes the requests and produces a detailed item analysis report along with summary and raw data files.
